2K SOLVENTBORNE EPOXY PRIMER

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

This is a two-component polyamide cured epoxy coating. Suitable for the protection of carbon steel substrate.

FEATURES & APPLICATION

• Good rust resistance; 

• Excellent water resistance, rapid drying; 

• Good impact resistance, wear resistance, good adhesion; 

• Good adhesion to zinc-rich or zinc-free epoxy primer.

It is widely used as a primer for anti-corrosion paint systems on steel structures and other substrates. It is mainly used for interior decoration of steel and concrete that have been coated with epoxy primer and anti-corrosion topcoat. It can also be used for structural coating of indoor equipment such as ship cabins, inner walls of pipes, and walls of workshops that are not exposed to sunlight.

RECOMMENDATION

Recommended viscosity: 

• Airless spray: 45″—55″ 

• Air spray: 20±2″ 

• Brush: 35″—45″

Surface preparation: 

1. Substrate temperature must be above -10℃. 

2. The outdoor construction environment is above -10 ℃ to ensure the normal chemical reaction between the curing agent and the epoxy resin to ensure curing. 

3. Rinse with clean water to remove salt and other water-soluble contaminants. 

4. Remove grease according to SSPC-SPI solvent cleaning standards.

Safety Precautions: 

The following measures shall be guaranteed during any paint applications: 

• Avoid skin and eye contact; 

• In case of skin or eye contact, flush with a large amount of water and immediately get medical attention; 

• Assure good ventilation; 

• Observe all health and safety regulations on-site.
